Department at a glance
The Education Department is one of the Pioneering Department of Pandu College. Apart from imparting quality education at secondary and graduate level, the Education department is actively working for holistic development of their students. To prepare the students for professional career, the department is conducting a six months certificate course recognized by Gauhati University on "Early Childhood Care and Education".
Two years Post Graduate course in Education has been introduced from the year 2012. the Department also conducts one Month Add on Course for benefit of the students. the department also organizes different types of Co- curricular activities for all round development of the students. The Department also run a Project namely 'GOODMAN PROJECT' to inculcate Values among students. The Department also do H3 (HEALTH, HYGINE AND HAPPY) Project to Physical , Mental and Emotional development of students.

| Extension Activities | An extension activity on the topic of “Health and Hygiene” was successfully conducted on 3rd April 2026 under the guidance of Ms. Sneha Chakraborty. The session aimed to create awareness among community people, about the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene for a healthy lifestyle. A total of 11 students actively participated in the activity, making it an engaging and interactive experience. The students showed great enthusiasm throughout the activity. Overall, the extension activity was a meaningful initiative that successfully raised awareness about health and hygiene. | QUIZ COMPETITION | The Department of Education, Pandu College organized a quiz competition for FYUGP 4th Semester students to promote knowledge and healthy competition. The event was conducted by Quiz Master Neelav Barman, who made it engaging and interactive. Students participated enthusiastically in various rounds covering general knowledge and educational topics. | Workshop on Yoga and Meditation | The Department of Education, Pandu College, organized a workshop on “Philosophy of Yoga for Development of Concentration” for FYUGP 4th Semester students on 17th March 2026. The session was held in the Digital Room, Arts Block, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The resource person, Dr. Maitreyee Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy, delivered an insightful talk on the role of yoga and meditation in improving concentration.
