| Counselling Session 2026 | The Department of Sanskrit, Pandu College, organised a Counselling Session for the students on 22 August 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Department of Sanskrit. The session was conducted with the objective of providing academic guidance, addressing students’ concerns, and helping them understand various aspects of their academic and personal development.
The session began with a brief welcome and an introduction to the purpose of the counselling programme. Students were encouraged to share their academic difficulties, concerns regarding their courses, attendance, examinations, assignments, and future career prospects.
During the session, the faculty members provided necessary guidance regarding regular attendance, effective study habits, preparation for examinations, completion of assignments, and active participation in departmental academic activities. Students were also encouraged to make proper use of library resources, digital learning materials, and other academic opportunities available in the college.
Special emphasis was placed on career planning and higher education. The students were advised to identify their areas of interest and work systematically towards their academic and professional goals. | Orientation Programme 2026 | Introduction
The Department of Sanskrit, Pandu College, organised a Student Orientation
Programme (संस्कृतविभागस्य दीक्षारम्भ-अनुष्ठानम्) for the newly admitted FYUGP 1st
Semester students of the Department. The programme was organised with the objective of
welcoming the students to the Department and familiarising them with the academic
environment, course structure, departmental activities and future opportunities in the field of
Sanskrit. The programme provided an interactive platform for the teachers and students to
become acquainted with one another and to discuss the students' academic interests,
expectations and aspirations.
Objectives of the Programme
The major objectives of the orientation programme were:
1. To warmly welcome the newly admitted students to the Department of Sanskrit.
2. To introduce the students to the faculty members and the academic environment of the
Department.
3. To understand the students' prior knowledge and exposure to Sanskrit.
4. To familiarise students with the course structure, curriculum and examination system.
5. To discuss the scope and career opportunities available through the study of Sanskrit.
6. To encourage students to participate actively in various academic and co-curricular activities
of the Department.
7. To motivate students to develop a deeper interest in Sanskrit language, literature, philosophy
and Indian knowledge traditions. The faculty member also invited and encouraged the students to take an active part in
the various activities of the Department of Sanskrit. Participation in seminars, workshops,
student presentations, group discussions, competitions, cultural programmes, Sanskrit
Day celebrations and other departmental activities was encouraged. The teachers
emphasised that students' active participation would contribute significantly to creating a
